Anastasia Champ joined the NBC Nebraska News team in January 2015 and is now part of the NBC Nebraska Today team.

Born and raised into a military family, Anastasia is proudly half Korean and has spent most of her life on the move. However, she has had the pleasure of calling Maryland her home. She attended the University of Maryland, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in History.

While at UMD, Anastasia worked at the campus radio station, WMUC, covering several small events on campus. In her senior year, she worked for the campus television station, Capital News Service, as an anchor and reporter. She covered events in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Most notably, she covered Maryland's gubernatorial candidate and winner, Governor Larry Hogan.

Anastasia has also interned with the Baltimore Sun’s Media Group. There, she shot and edited videos for the community papers around the Baltimore area.
