Julie Tate joined the NBC Nebraska News team as a Video Journalist in November 2016.
Julie is a native Texan and a recent graduate of Baylor University, where she earned her degree in journalism and also studied marketing and film and digital media. While in college she interned with Baylor Vision and served as a reporter covering football, basketball and everything in between. One of her favorite memories is when she stood on the sidelines and watched Baylor football beat TCU 61-58 during her junior year.
Aside from her work at Baylor Vision, Julie interned at KWTX, where she learned the skills of the trade from top-notch reporters, anchors and producers. She thoroughly enjoyed being in such an energetic atmosphere and knew from the moment she started her internship she was going to be a reporter.
For two summers Julie also interned at ESPN Central Texas and had the pleasure of covering local high school sports and Texas professional teams, such as the Cowboys and Rangers.
When she is not telling stories, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling, watching sports and eating Mexican food.
Julie is thrilled to be starting her career here at KSNB and is eager to get to know the people of Central Nebraska and to share their stories.
