16-year-old killed in rollover accident near Neligh

NELIGH, Neb. — A 16-year-old is dead after a rollover accident Monday morning in Antelope County.

The South Dakota teen was driving north on Highway 14 when it crossed the centerline, skidded into the west ditch before rolling over and hitting a tree.

The impact caused the unidentified teen, and sole occupant, to be ejected from the car.

The teen was flown by LifeNet to Faith Regional Health Services, where he later died from his injuries.

The Antelope County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident with assistance of the Neligh Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol.

Neligh Fire, Neligh Jaws, Neligh Rescue and Brunswick Fire all responded to the scene.
