Felony charges filed in Grand Island hit-and-run case

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) The Hall county attorney Friday charged a woman with a felony in connection with a fatal hit-and-run case.

Robin Nehls, 48, of Grand Island is charged with felony failure to stop and render aid. She turned herself in Thursday. She is currently out on bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in September. If convicted, she could get up to four years in prison.

The accident happened around 4:30 AM Monday morning. Justin Foster was killed when he was struck by a westbound vehicle on Faidley Avenue, near Howard Avenue. Police said they had contact with Foster five separate times between 11:00 pm Sunday night and 4:00 am Monday morning.
