LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Deante Mullen, considered is a suspect in the murder of Jose Hansen, has been released from the Lancaster County Jail in Lincoln.

On September 14, Mullen posted 10% of his $15,000 bond.

Mullen, 19, of Lincoln, was arrested by Lincoln Police on the night of September 11.

Police say, at the time of his arrest, Mullen had cocaine, marijuana, assorted prescription drugs, and a stolen firearm in his possession.

The firearm was reported stolen out of Kansas, and was tucked between the driver’s seat and the center console of his vehicle.

Hastings Police have identified Mullen as a possible suspect in the Hansen case.

Mullen has not been arrested and is not facing any charges in the apparent homicide of Jose Hansen, a 19-year-old Hastings resident who was found dead on the morning of September 11.

Court records show that Mullen was convicted in July of misdemeanor assault in Adams county.
