SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.-- The chancellor of the University of Nebraska Medical Center visits the Panhandle on Thursday to get a look at local medical education.
At the WNCC Harms Center, Dr. Jeffrey Gold looked on as nursing students took part in a simulated scenario.
In this case, the students displayed their skills interacting with a patient who displayed symptoms of mental health difficulties.
Following the six-minute scenario, students sat down with professors to discuss best practices.
The exercise is an example of the I-Excel programs that Dr. Gold is promoting as the future of the UNMC.
