Trump administration approves Keystone XL pipeline

The Trump administration has issued a presidential permit to pipeline builder TransCanada to build the Keystone XL pipeline.


Gun rights advocates say requiring Nebraska residents to obtain concealed-carry permits violates their constitutional rights, but gun control supporters argue carrying without a permit could lead to more shootings.


A bill that is meant to restore constitutional right to Nebraskans has several local residents saying it might be a good idea. However, some say they are concerned. The bill will allow Nebraskans to carry a fire arm concealed or open without being forced to take a state-mandated exam or pay a fee.


Republicans have pushed the GOP health care overhaul past an initial procedural hurdle in the House. That moves the chamber toward a climactic final vote that's a big gamble for President Donald Trump and congressional leaders.
